I grew up in Stephenville Crossing during the 1940s, 50s and 60s. I left Stephenville Crossing in 1963 at the age of 18.

Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland, Canada

In 2002, after working at "the job" for nearly 40 years, I retired, or in other words moved on to "the next phase". My plans for "the next phase" included researching my family history and building a website. It was also my plan to continue sailing and do a little travelling in my spare time. do the things that I never seemed to have enough time to do. Although I enjoyed my career, as careers go, working at "the Job" never seems terribly natural.

It is now 14 years later and I have spent many, many hours researching my family history, mostly during the winter months. My website has been online since 2002 and has evolved over the years.

Sailing is still a big part of my life, both in the summer and the winter. In the summer I sail, while in the winter, I service boat pieces that can be removed and brought home to my basement. The boat is a Niagara 35, a 35 foot sailing vessel called Gallivanting.

Life is good.
